Room Use Guidelines

  1. IDSS HQ has the right to cancel reservations if the space is needed, even if you have a reservation.  Requests for recurring reservations will be approved at the discretion of IDSS HQ.  Approved recurring reservations must be resubmitted ahead of every semester. Reservations for classes for academic credit must first be approved by IDSS Academic Office idss_academic_office@mit.edu. In almost all cases classes cannot meet in IDSS space, although ad hoc class meetings (make-up class, exams, office hours, etc.) may be accommodated.
  2. Rooms and equipment are only available during regular business days from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  3. Please remember to add 15 minutes to reservation times for setup and clean-up.
  4. Please make cancellations as soon as you know about them, so others can use the room.
  5. Please report any broken equipment or room damage to ldorson@mit.edu.
  6. Food and beverages are permitted, but please leave the rooms as you found them.  Wipe down tables, erase white-boards, discard trash and repack and return any AV equipment.  White-boards will be also be erased at the end of the day by the cleaning crew - please remember to record any important work.
